I’m John, owner of Everyday Craftsman LLC, a licensed general contractor based in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. With over a decade of experience in fine carpentry and high-end residential construction, I founded Everyday Craftsman to uphold a higher standard of building—where precision, professionalism, and craftsmanship are foundational, not optional.
Before entering construction, I worked in fine dining, where execution, timing, and attention to detail define the entire experience. That discipline carries directly into my work today: clean execution, high standards, and a focus on delivering a seamless process from concept to completion.
I specialize in custom fine woodworking, luxury kitchen and bath renovations, and full-scale home transformations. Each project is executed with careful planning, premium materials, and refined craftsmanship—resulting in spaces that are intentional, durable, and well-suited to the character and climate of North Idaho.
I serve clients throughout Boundary and Bonner Counties, and neighboring areas of Montana, building homes that reflect timeless design and lasting quality. Whether it’s a custom live-edge vanity, a full kitchen remodel, or a complete ADU build, the goal is consistent: deliver work that exceeds expectations and stands the test of time.
Outside of construction, I value our lives here in North Idaho—its quiet landscapes, strong sense of community, and time spent fly fishing its rivers and streams. Most of all, I value my family and the stability and purpose they bring to everything I do.
